Contura 300 and i7 Range

The Swedish wood burning stove manufacturer, Contura, have released a brand new range which is available for purchase in summer 2017.

All Contura stoves offer a fantastic performance with maximum efficiency, their models can reach up to an 80% efficiency standard which greatly towers over the tame 20% offered by traditional wood burning stoves. They also include a clean burning system which ensuring less wood is used whilst still maintaining that high level of heat output.

As well as their efficiency, Contura also prides themselves on their environmentalism. With their new 300 and i7 ranges, they obviously comply with the Clean Air Act 1993 meaning they are available for use in smoke control areas. As well as this, they have something they call an “eco-design” which means that the sourcing of the raw materials used for these products have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment.

Contura 310 – Cubic Comfort

The Contura 310 is the first model which fits within their new series. It boasts a vast array of features such as a floor protection cover, a box which can be used to store logs, and a hotplate on top which can be used to heat appliances such as kettles, further improving the efficiency of the device. It also has a supply air connection which allows it to draw in air from outside to help maintain the combustion process.

The Contura 310 has an energy output of 7Kw and an efficiency rating of 75%, allowing it to comfortably provide heat for up to 120 m².

The stove has a height of 850mm (85cm), a width of 750mm (75 cm) and a depth of 375 mm (37.5 cm).

Contura 330

This model still boasts the same plethora of features found in the 310 which have been used in order to emulate this immaculate innovation Contura has been working towards in order to build a product which is best for both the consumer and the environment. the main difference between this model and the 310 model is that it is a “floor-level fireplace” which can be used either as a lone standing stove or one which is placed within an existing masonry chimney.

The wood burning stove is also has a more compact design than the 310 with it standing at 570mm (57 cm) allowing it to fit into the room inconspicuously.

The width and depth of the product are 750 mm and 375 mm respectively.

Contura i7

Contura have also provided a wood burning stove which enables the user to insert their fireplace into the wall meaning that the fireplace can now be purchased by anyone and doesn’t solely rely on whether or not your home has a pre-built fireplace within it.

The i7 also uses a supply air connection meaning it draws in air from outside. Due to the fact that this piece is often built into the wall, there is no hotplate on top. What the i7 does, however, is allow you to slightly adjust the model so its fit for your purpose. One of the ways this can be done is through the selection of either a glass or cast-iron door. As well as this, you can also opt for a widescreen glass screen which allows for a maximum view of the fire.

The stove stands at a height of 545 mm (54.5 cm), a width of 735 mm (73.5 cm) and a depth of 360 mm (36 cm).
